This Autism Awareness Month kick-off weekend was a double celebration. We had a ribbon cutting ceremony for our new space. As you may know, this summer we moved from being a home-based business into an amazing bright, light, and beautiful manufacturing facility - a place that is perfect for our growing team of employees and trainees. This beautiful location has allowed us expand our workforce and increase our reach.
Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude and pride. We are grateful to you, our incredible customers and supporters, who have made our dream of meaningful employment for people with autism a thriving reality.
We are so proud of our team who work hard every day making and packaging beautiful products. There is magic in the air at our studio. There are no words to adequately explain the sparkle, joy, and energy that fills our workplace every day. It just feels like everything is as it should be.
That makes us happy and proud. But for each person who comes off the waitlist, there are at least 10 more people being added to it. This imbalance led us to a lot of reflection and refinement of goals. We realized that in addition to growing Beloved Bath, we had more to do more to bring about positive change in the autism employment world. As we thought about next steps and goals, we came up with a clear answer. Quite simply, we want to bring about a paradigm shift in autism and disability employment and make meaningful employment the norm.
Out of this specific goal, we proudly launch Beloved Bath Charitable Foundation. Stay tuned for more details!
We are two moms with a rock solid belief that everyone with autism, whether profound or mild, should be able to work and thrive and contribute to society. We are immensely grateful that you are along with us as we strive to make significant and meaningful change in the lives of adults with autism.
